Tomorrow is the last day Canada's Northern House is open in Vancouver. We open at 10 AM and the first 175 people through the doors will receive the Limited Edition Northern Pin Set (this set was much sought after during the Olympics). This weekend, Canada's Northern House will come alive for Northwest Territories Outdoor Adventure Days. Visit us at 602 West Hastings St. and enter for your chance to win a prize package valued at $5,000, which includes a Jackson 2 Fun kayak, Nikon D5000 digital slr camera, and camping equipment. 

Outdoor Adventure Days are a showcase of the stellar outdoor adventure tour operators we have in NWT. NWT Arts Week - March 26-28

Come celebrate the traditional and contemporary arts of Northwest Territories (NWT) during NWT Arts Week at Canada's Northern House from March 26-28.

Five artists will be on-hand from 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM at Canada's Northern House to provide demonstrations and provide a glimpse at their creative process.

Naomi Lewsaw has been designing jewellery for eight years, and for the past two years under her jewellery line, Lulu Bijou. Naomi is of Gwich'in and Metis heritage and designs out of her home studio.

Canada’s Northern House Open Until April 18

The Paralympics may be over, but Canada’s Northern House stays open until April 18. This is great news for all the locals who have been eager to visit the House but haven't yet had the chance. Canada’s Northern House is not to be missed – it enjoyed rave reviews as one of the top pavilions at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games and was one of the few pavilions that remained open throughout the Paralympic Games.

Art of Craft from Yukon at Vancouver Museum until April 11

 

Celebrate the exuberance, inventiveness and refinement of fine craft at an exhibition of work from Canada and the Republic of Korea. The show features Yukoners Lyn Fabio, Helen O'Connor and Paul Gort among other artists. Art of Craft showcases 173 spectacular fine craft works, of which 51 pieces from Canada's West Coast are presented by By Hand/BC and Yukon with a focus on the artists' creative processes and studio environments.
