Great Performances this Weekend at Canada's Northern House

Swing by Canada's Northern House for some live music and try out some drumming. Canada's Northern House is alive with activity for the Paralympic Games and this weekend provides plenty of great performances on our main stage.

Highlights of performances include appearances by Dana Sipos and Digawolf.

Sipos is described as a "lyrical satirical poet," She presents a compelling sound likened to the folk minstrels of yesteryear. She's part politics, part poetry, part hip, part pop, with a dash of blues, hints of soul and a whole lot of heart.

Authentic Inuksuk at Canada's Northern House

The most memorable symbol of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games is unquestionably the inuksuk. This icon of the North has helped welcome visitors from around the world to Vancouver and shared the rich, enduring culture of Canada's northern people. Visiting Canada's Northern House presents the perfect opportunity to learn more about the people of Northern Canada and see our authentic inuksuk welcoming visitors into the pavilion.

Family Fun at Canada's Northern House

Families visiting Canada's Northern House are finding a treasure trove of things to see and do. A barren ground caribou greets people at the door, and inside you can get up-close-and-personal with a muskox, an arctic wolf and a polar bear. Children are building their own inuksuit from northern rocks and having their picture taken next to the human-sized inuksuk that stands in the entry.
