We open at 10 AM and the first 175 people through the doors will receive the Limited Edition Northern Pin Set (this set was much sought after during the Olympics). Last Day at the Games, but 7 More Weeks for Canada’s Northern House

After 17 days of adrenalin-infused sport, inspired cultural performances and lifelong memories, the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games are coming to a close. Today is the last day of Games-time performances and programming at Canada’s Northern House. Dene Hand Games will be demonstrated at 11am, Frozen Toes Trio performs at 12pm and 1pm, Northern Legends drumming performance and audience participation is at 2pm and 3pm, and Crash the Car performs at 4pm.

Canada’s Northern House Contest Closes on Sunday at 9pm

One of the most popular corners of Canada’s Northern House is the kiosk where visitors can enter the Canada’s North Contest to win one of three spectacular and symbolic northern prizes. Throughout the month of February visitors to 602 West Hastings have lined up to enter for a chance to win one of three northern treasures.

Crashing Cars and Freezing Toes at Canada’s Northern House

Saturday’s varied line-up of performers and visual artists from Canada’s Northern House caps two weeks of non-stop entertainment around Vancouver and Whistler. A couple of new bands are in the mix. Crash the Car is the project of Yukon songwriter Kyle Cashen and a rotating cast of collaborators – they play at Canada’s Northern House on Saturday night at 7pm. The Frozen Toes Trio performs at 1pm and again at 4pm.
