Tomorrow is the last day Canada's Northern House is open in Vancouver. We open at 10 AM and the first 175 people through the doors will receive the Limited Edition Northern Pin Set (this set was much sought after during the Olympics). Come experience the warmth, welcome and wonder of Canada’s North. Visit Canada’s Northern House at 602 West Hastings for stories, songs, shopping and to claim your pin set!

Spectacular Visions of the North in the Richmond O Zone

One of the most comprehensive, high quality collections of northern arts and crafts ever shown in Southern Canada is in the Richmond O Zone for the next four days. Located right between the Main Stage and the food and beverage tents, Visions of the North brings together a juried collection of works for sale by dozens of artists from Northern Canada, many of whom are present to meet visitors and do demonstrations.

Making Music and Craft at Canada's Northern House

Come in out of the rain for a busy day of ensemble performances at Canada’s Northern House. Northern performers are collaborating onstage all day, and tonight is a meet and greet with NWT visual artists. This afternoon you can see our diamond polisher and goldsmith at work, and meet Yukon anorak designer Megan Waterman.

Hamming it up for the Green Screen

Visitors to Canada’s Northern House have been impressed by the quality of exhibits and range of activities. One of the most popular is the ‘Green Screen’ at the back of the House. Visitors stand in front of a blank screen and a short video is shot showing them doing all kinds of fun things on the northern landscape. After their shoot, the video is emailed to them.

Canada's North Kicking it Up in the Richmond O-Zone

Tonight, the Richmond O-Zone is the place to be for a northern cultural extravaganza featuring performers, visual artists and athletes from across the Canada’s North. Starting at 3:30 on the Main Stage, top performing artists from Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut put on a pan-northern showcase that presents traditional and contemporary art forms from all three territories.
