Tomorrow is the last day Canada's Northern House is open in Vancouver. We open at 10 AM and the first 175 people through the doors will receive the Limited Edition Northern Pin Set (this set was much sought after during the Olympics). Come experience the warmth, welcome and wonder of Canada’s North. Visit Canada’s Northern House at 602 West Hastings for stories, songs, shopping and to claim your pin set!

Your Daily Inuksuk

The most memorable symbol of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games is unquestionably the inuksuk. This icon of the North has helped welcome visitors from around the world and shared the rich, enduring culture of Canada’s northern people. As today is Nunavut Day, it’s the perfect opportunity to come to Canada’s Northern House to learn more about the people of Nunavut and view the authentic inuksuk welcoming visitors into the pavilion.

Yukon First Nations Welcome the World at 2010

Sunday is Yukon First Nations Day at Four Host First Nations Pavillion. Yukon’s talented aboriginal performers will present their spectacular musical showcase, What the Land Remembers, four times on the pavilion stage. It's an enchanting production that's captured the hearts of all who have seen it. Showtimes are 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

It’s Nunavut Day at 2010!

Sunday is Nunavut Day at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games! Come to Canada’s Northern House to celebrate our country’s northern frontier and cultures. What better place to encounter your first authentic inuksuk than at Canada’s Northern House. Nunavut means "our land" in the Inuktitut language, and the House offers a thoughtful and enlightening exploration of Canada’s vast landscape above the 60th parallel.
